Session export: The Great Temple Caper

“`ansi NoobisGM: Welcome everyone, to the Roger Uprising Campaign, specifically Adventure #2. We start ourselves off on Planet Arx, seat of the Brotherhood. More specifically, we’re in the Northern Sorasu Dessert, near a downed First Order AT-AT converted into the Akaanlar Rat Pizza & Casino - basically a bar and play on the Chuck E Cheese name. The bar is co-owned by Regent Zxyl Bes'uliik and Voice Idris Adenn, and its day to day operations are managed by fellow TheAllMother Mandalorian Socorra Erinos. All public knowledge, as is the fact that Idris and Zxyl occasionally use the back-room for side deals and other things. After Team 1’s success in the first adventure, the Regent has put out a call to the Brotherhood at large once more in dealing with another matter following his gathering of additional information on the perpetrators of the attack on The Exchange’s (ACE) flagship droid manufacturing facility.

It’s a rather sunny, hot day in the desert. There is a slight, cooler breeze rushing over the sands, a byproduct of the bar’s proximity to the coastline (although still a very long distance away), and the silver plating of the downed AT-AT shines brightly in the middle of the desert (expert placement, perhaps?). Inside, the Regent waits patiently on a stool at the bar for any such team to arrive, at which point he’ll brief them and send them on their merry way. There’s some tunes going, naturally, but low enough to allow bar patrons to talk. For the purposes of this RP, Socorra and Idris are currently not around while Zxyl conducts this business, and the the bar has been cleared of any patrons for the time being. Aisha IS there, but she’s just tidying up.

You are all free to post about your arrival at the bar/how you got there (if you so wish), entering the bar, and taking a seat wherever you wish, whenever you have the time. There is absolutely no rush, I want this to be an enjoyable experience for everyone. All major rolls that would require a skill (or might, you can ask in the OOC channel), including combat, must have an accompanying post and roll. ”`

In the void of space, outside the perimeter of Arx, a shimmering and colorful N-1 Starfighter exited hyperspace, maintaining a top speed and heading for one of the planet’s many shield gates. The loud chirping whistle of its engines screamed into the emptiness as the ship spun, never slowing down.

*** Incoming craft, please identify yourself and lower your approaching speeds.“***

Meneveria Erinos Navisthae, or Eevie as she preferred, cheered loudly behind her helmet. She had so much fun in her ship, free as a bird to spread her wings wide.

"Incoming craft, I repeat, identify yourself, and lower your approaching speeds.” The voice sounded firmer and more aggressive than before.

“Ugh…party poopers. Can’t let a gal have a good time, eh K-D9.”

Beep, breeet, whryyiirll.

“What do you mean, be serious and listen?”

Brrrt, wreeee, boop.

“I am professional. I’m just having some fun.”

Brrreep, whrrylll, beeep, reealp

“Hey, you know I am always careful with this beauty. I’ve never crashed her even once. Never a scratch!”

Wryyyl, beep.

“You know that wasn’t My fault. That Rodian slimeball wasn’t paying attention. Pretty sure he was drunk too.”

Eevie was met with a long silence that she took to know K-D9 wasn’t having any of it. The Sephi let out an exasperated sigh.

“Oh switch off,”

Flipping on her com channels, she finally responded to the waiting officer.

“This is the shuttlecraft Free Bird requesting access to the planet’s surface. I have a meeting with our Lord Regent. Transferring clearance codes now.”

After a few moments of silence, and slowing her ship to a halt outside the shield entrance port, Eevie watched the visible energy gate opening.

“Entry to Arx approved, and please for the love of all that is known, take it slow in there Erinos. We don’t need any accidents or further damage on the surface.”

“Why…I would never…”

As soon as the shield was open, Eevie slammed on the accelerator and closed the comms channels. Her engines whistled and sang through the air as she weaved through ships and other potential hazards, K-D9 was screaming at her to be careful, but Eevie never was one to back down from a challenge. Even one set up by herself on the fly.

She was familiar with Akaan'lar and knew where she needed to go. She wanted to arrive in style. And she did just that. Spinning through the air she watched her target screen as she approached the buried establishment, waiting for the perfect moment to rapidly decelerate and land the ship with fluid and elegant precision. She was a pilot and wanted everyone to know just what she was capable of. After landing, and exiting the ship, its chirping engines dying down, the Mandalorian began to walk to the bar. She turned back to the ship and saw K-D9 following her. If the droid could glare, it was probably doing so.

“You know you love me K. I’m fun and you would miss the adventure.”

Silently the droid rolled on, internally agreeing with her, but not wanting her to know that.

Entering the bar, Eevie saw Aisha cleaning up some tables and the otherwise empty rooms. At the bar, donned in his full armor glory, Zxyl waited for the team. With pep in her step, the Erinos sat at the bar with him and beamed behind her helmet.

“Eevie reporting for duty. Hope things have been well for ya, Zxyl. No more hijacked droid facilities I hope.”

“Thank you. Have a good-” Evelyn was interrupted by the roar of the ship and the howl of the sands underneath. The Xuber pilot quickly closed their doors and swerved out of the way. Her arm rose and eyelids tightly shut to keep the sands from getting into her eyes. The sands and her hair whipped harshly against her. She crouched down and waited patiently.

When it all settled, she watched as a purple Mandalorian armored figure hopped out and was followed by a droid. Straightened her posture, her green hues watched them entered into Akaan'lar. She paused for a moment. Her eyes darted back to the ship. A N-1. A small twinge of annoyance built in her since her ship was in the shop for the time being. Her hands started to brush away the sand while she entered into the AT-AT. It was mostly empty. To her right, she noticed the jukebox.

Right now, it was not the time to be browsing for songs.

Evelyn noticed the three that were here were fully armored. Talk about being the odd one out. She remained quiet while approached the bar and took a seat at the booth nearby. While seated, she continued to look around and took in her surroundings.

Zxyl turned to Eevie, offering a curt nod at his fellow Mando'ade’s arrival.

“Hello there.”

He pushed himself off the stool, remaining near it as he awaited for others to arrive - which soon happened with the arrival of Evelyn.

“I’m not really surprised to see you here,” the Regent said matter-of-factly, “But its good to see you none-the-less. We’ve got that facility back up and running, thanks to the prior assistance you and the others provided. We’ll get started once everyone else has arrived.”

Aisha continued to tidy, not really paying much mind to the three others in the bar. She usually tried to tune out distractions, of which Zxyl was always her main culprit.

The door to the refresher opened and Korvis ducked a little as he walked out. They certainly didn’t make these for men of his size. He practically had to become a contortionist just to relieve himself of the six brews he had already consumed. Motioning to the bartender he took a look around the establishment as his next beer was being poured. It was filling up rather nicely with several members he recognized.

“Is that room safe? You were there for a while.” The bartender said jokingly.

“They forget to tell you how cumbersome it is to get the armor off.” Korvis quipped back before sitting his helmet beside the newly acquired draft. He took a long slow drink that left his glass half empty. Not even waiting for another sign the bartender started pouring him another.

ansi NoobisGM: The bartender in question we're going to say is a droid, 3P0-series. He's sentient via Mechu-Deru, so he'll talk like a regular person. :P

ansi NoobisGM: Korvis and Eevie have taken up a position at the bar with Zxyl, Evelyn is chilling in a booth, while they all wait for the others to arrive.

The doors to Akaanlar slid open, the bright sun shining in silhouetted the figure of TuQ’uan Varick against the bright blue sky and golden sands of the desert. The Kel Dor’s signature hat was pulled down low obscuring his face, his head tilted down to look at the floor, his hands planted deep in his pockets and the hem of his undone coat flapping behind him in the wind. He raised his head to take in the interior of the bar and those gathered within. The wind whipped up and grabbed the edge of the wide brimmed hat, pulling it from TuQ’s head.

“Frak!” TuQ cursed as he chased his tumbling headwear. He wasn’t going on any mission without his hat.

Moments later the doors slid open once again. The skulking Kel Dor plopped himself down in a booth off to the side, kicked his feet up on the table and began cleaning his dirty hat with a look of exhaustion. Maybe he shouldn’t have spent all night gambling. And maybe he should have stopped while he was ahead. And MAYBE he shouldn’t have cheated. Oh well, that was all in the past now, it’s not like he would be returning to that particular establishment, in his mind it was a mutual decision, despite what they said about a lifetime ban.

The screech of a speeder bike heralded Renora’s approach. The former Legionnaire deftly handled the controls as she made her approach to Akaanlar. Information flashed before her eyes, the advanced HUD helping her navigate. Unfortunately, she still had to come to a sudden and unexpected stop.

Who parks across an entrance way? Honestly?

Hidden behind the teal-tinted metal of her full armour, Renora’s expressions remained unseen to any onlooker but there was a serious scowl, to be sure. With a sigh and a shake of her head, the woman slid into a space and shut down the vehicle. She confidently swung her leg over the handlebars and slid off, beginning her march towards the entrance.

Renora had taken a risk picking up this job. It got her close to Brotherhood business, real close. That meant information could slip out of her control. Still, risk just might be what she needed at this point. She couldn’t hide forever. Her gloved hand triggered the panel next to the entrance and the doors hissed open. She simply walked through with a distinct lack of ceremony, her unseen gaze scanning the entirety of the room while the doors closed behind her.

Another Mandalorian? This might be easier than I thought, Zxyl mused to himself. Still they were awaiting one more body to join the party; and then the fun could begin.

“We’ll get started shortly, everyone,” he declared.

From inside the AT-AT, turned bar, the sound of an approaching speeder signaled perhaps the arrival of their final companion. The whine of the speeder’s engine came to a dull idle and the faint sound of a hatch opening could be heard.

A muffled conversation followed by an unnecessarily violent opening of the bar doors. A stormtrooper stood in the doorway, sand already sticking to the once polished armor, dulling it. An emerald green pauldron with the crest of Scholae Palatinae upon the troopers right shoulder and a non-descript lightsaber were the only identifications that separated this person from an average Imperial shock trooper.

The trooper turned and waved the speeder on. A muffled voice could be heard slightly on the wind. “Are you sure this is the place? Are you sure you don’t want me to call your father?” a feminine voice inquired of the trooper. The trooper responded by angrily pointing for the speeder to leave as he slammed the door shut.

The trooper scanned the scant group of patrons and identified the Regent. Walking briskly forward he produced a small data pad. “Orders from Emperor Lap'lamiz,” the modulated voice said.

The Regent glanced first at Aisha, who returned his gaze and waited for a reaction, then Eevie, then Korvis, before turning to face the trooper garbed in Imperial Stormtrooper Armor. He laughed. Like with his belly.

Aisha was taken aback. She hadn’t seen the Dathomirian-Mandalorian laugh this way. Ever.

The General took the datapad and nodded… before expertly guiding it into the bin beside the bar with a well aimed underhand-backwards toss.

“Yeah, I don’t take orders from any Consul, fancy title or not. If those orders are for you, then you already know them. Take a seat anywhere, or stand, we’ll begin in just a few moments.”

The trooper did a double take between the Mandalorian Councilor and the waste bin.

He made to retrieve the datapad then stopped before he started. Looking back at the Regent he tried gauge the reaction while not knowing whether to stand or take a seat.

Zxyl sighed. He pointed Rohan over to the booth occupied by Evelyn.

“Hey Rex, get a couple more drinks going for the rest of the team so we can get this show on the road,” the General ordered to the bartender droid.

“Right away. Oh, I forgot to mention, some Journeyman is on his way too with some orders for you.”

“Do you want to be a lifeless machine again? Because I’ll turn you back into a lifeless machine.”

Rex didn’t reply. It wasn’t long before a drink was produced for each of the six patrons, sitting on the bar. A simple pale ale.

“I didn’t realize we were allowed to give you orders, Zxyl,” the humorous tone in Eevies voice could be heard, she wasn’t subtle about it. “In that case, I’ll have to think on some things I want you to do for me. Custom mods… better gear… who knows what I’ll order from you!”

I regret every decision that led to this moment, Renora mused idly. She scanned the reactions of those in the bar, making a note of each. The woman didn’t know these people. That meant anything was a clue as to how they might react during the heat of the moment. Under fire. From blasters.

Well, hopefully just blasters.

The former Legionnaire made no attempt to move from where she was standing, still placed near the entrance with her back to the corner. Everyone remained in her field of view.

Rohan went and took a seat in the booth. In an uncharacteristic move he rested his head on his hands slouching in his seat.

Turning his head to the side Korvis watched the exchange and then went back to his drink. He thought he might at least get to see a good fight. Had that happened Vizsla blood would be on the floor. Insults like that had to be met with actions not sulking in the corner. But, the empire was always different.

Evelyn noticed the Erinos symbol on Eevie’s armor. Ah. This must be Eevie. Evelyn heard of her from Jax. Another Mandalorian walked by the pair and sat by Eevie and started to e beer. Already, she felt like this group may be a bit of a handful.

A show-off pilot. A possibly soon-to-be drunk Mandalorian. What’s next, an imperial trooper?

The door opened and someone with a rather large hat- wait. Where have she seen him before? The Yacht. Speak of the devil, another familiar figure from the Yacht. She remember her face too and the moment of intensity. As the newcomer went to the corner, the doors burst opened. Her posture changed and her hand slid to behind her.

Imperial trooper.

She was joking. Her thoughts were cut off by Zxyl’s laugh and Eevie’s non-subtle tease to the Regent. Her arm shifted and she rested it on the table. Drinks were handed out by the droid.

“Thank you.” The hybrid doesn’t touch the ale.

TuQ took the drink offered by the droid and mimicked taking a drink by clinking the glass against his anti-ox mask.

“Is this a joke?” he asked, raising his eyebrows. He was beginning to second guess signing up for this mission.

The trooper looked at the offered beverage. “Umm…do you any citrus beverage. I…can’t drink this,” he said, pushing the glass away.

“If you are old enough to fight and die, you are old enough to drink.” The Consul of Vizsla quipped at the young trooper. “But, if not that is just more for me.”

“I do not drink during work,” Renora intoned, her Imperial accent clear through the vocoder of her helmet as she glanced over the offered beverages. She continued to remain still where she had chosen to stand, exuding an intensity of purpose despite her faceless visage.

“Can’t drink it? What are you, a child,” Eevie said with a chuckle. She didn’t actually think someone who wasn’t an adult would be on this mission.

Rex fetches a non-alcoholic drink for Rohan.

Pulling out a deck of Sabbac cards, Eevie began to shuffle them as she waited. Occasionally she would tip her helmet back to take a drink, but otherwise she just watched the interesting group around her.

TuQ’s ears perked up as he heard the familiar sound of a Sabacc deck shuffling. He glanced over at Mandalorian, should he? After his losses from last night he wasn’t sure he should…BUT, what if he could win back some of his lost credits. What a dilemma he found himself in.

Noticing the Kel-Dor with the fancy hat glancing her way, she grinned behind her helmet.

“Looking to lose some credits while we wait?” She called out to him.

The Kel Dor placed his hat back atop his head and let out a chuckle.

“You’re on.” Swinging his feet from the table top to the floor he grabbed his drink and approached Eevie’s table. “What are we playing? Classic, Corellian Spike, Coruscant Shift? Dealers choice!”

TuQ slid into the booth smoothly and tipped his hat back with the tip of his crimson finger.

The moment Korvis had brought up finishing any drinks that was left behind, she reached over and moved both her’s and the Trooper’s to the other side of the booth and closer to her. If he wanted them, he would have to work for that. An accent cut into the air and her shoulders dropped slightly while she sighed with relief. At least someone here had some common sense. One or two? Okay. Anything more? It was worrisome and she had no idea how many he drank before they all got here.

Evelyn ignored the chatter from Eevie and the Kel Dor with the large hat. Her eyes were fixated on the trooper in front of her. He said the word, can’t. If he didn’t want to drink for other reasons, it would be worded differently. Eevie brought up a joke of him being a child. Child soldiers, sadly, was unheard of and Evelyn was seriously hoping that he was not a child. The non-alcoholic beverage was placed before the Trooper as she leaned back and crossed her arms, waited for him to take off his helmet.

The trooper traded his alcoholic drink for the new beverage. Reaching into a pouch on his belt he pulled out a collapsible metal straw and put it into the beverage.

The seals hissed as he tilted the helmet back slightly, a smooth youthful chin was barely visible as he fed the straw to his mouth and took a sip.

“`ansi NoobisGM: After a little while Zxyl steps forward from the bar, motioning for Aisha to dim the lights - which she does - as the Regent sets a hand sized holo-projector on the floor. When the lights dimmed, he pressed a button on his left vambrace and the projector sprang to life revealing a projection of a temperate world covered in green and blue, with polar ice caps. Aisha handed out a datapad to each of the members present, with Rohan’s being the only one secured…

"This,” the Mandalorian General began, “Is the world of Zoltar. It’s a temperate world with a warm, humid climate, and our target, located in the Outer Rim. As some of you are aware, an Exchange droid manufacturing facility was attacked within the last several months. We do not know why, but the facility was used to manufacture a single combat droid chassis of insane design - even by my standards. We have identified the culprits, a secretive faction that dubbed themselves the Outer Rim Protectorate. We have little information on their purpose or why they struck the facility and manufactured that droid, which is where you all come in. Inquisitorius and Exchange agents have pinpointed one of their bases of operations located on Zoltar, near the ruins of a small city and what appears to be some sort of temple. I’m tasking you six with infiltrating the area, locating any information you can gather - through physical persuasion or otherwise - on the Outer Rim Protectorate, why they made that droid, and what their intentions towards the Brotherhood or Brotherhood assets are. There isn’t a lot of intel on what assets or forces they may have on site, but I’ll attempt to answer any questions you have.”

The Regent tapped his vambrace again, with the projection zooming in to a single section of the planet, highlighted in red.

“Our own intelligence suggests that the city and temple are located in this area, closer to the edge of the temperate climate near the northern polar region. You’ll be traveling to Zoltar on an obscure YZ-900 Light Freighter, the Watered Charhound, the transponder for which has been registered to one of The Exchange’s shell corporations to hide your status as anything other than cargo haulers and hopefully gain entrance planetside unabated. It awaits you at the local Eos City Spaceport, and an Exchange transport will be here shortly to bring you there if you need a ride. Anything of major interest you find in the temple is to be returned here. Any questions?” “`

She was silent for the duration of the presentation, waiting for several beats more before her vocoder clicked on.

“What are the rules of engagement?” Renora inquired. “Reactionary measures only? Acceptable fatalities?”

“`ansi NoobisGM: "Weapons free. Engage as you see fit. I would prefer if at least one asset was returned back to Arx for questioning, sentient or mechanical, it doesn’t matter.”

The holoprojector turned off, and lights returned to their original brightness. “`

“Ack,” Renora responded curtly. The militaristic shorthand for ‘acknowledged’ was assumed to be understood.

“Excuse you,” TuQ replied to the strange noise coming from Renora’s throat.

“I’ll try to keep your ship in one piece this go around. As long as no droids try to kill us on board again or anything.”

Eevie was excited for another mission. But she had her status as a top-pilot to secure.

Evelyn watched the trooper pulled out a reusable metal straw and drank his drank out of it. Resourceful. Not bad. Lights dimmed and the holo projector came to life. She listened while quietly thanking Aisha for the datapad. She started to make mental notes while listening. So it would be ideal if they could bring back someone or something that would have enough information. She would need to be sure that her team can bring back someone that actually knows a lot of information. Too many times had soliders gone out to retrieve info to only bring back a mook, that knew absolutely nothing.

Evelyn’s fingers rose to the bridge of her nose and pinched it slightly after the Kel Dor ‘excused’ the woman. Then Eevie chimed in with the mention of the ship to stay in one piece. Her gripped around the datapad tighten. Great. She would have to deal with the Miss Show Off pilot over here.

ansi NoobisGM: "They made it to the planet somehow. I'm less concerned about a second freighter than I am about securing new information. That is top priority. We need to know what we're up against."

“We’ll do our job, get your information, and work out this mystery to the best of our ability.”

In a rare moment of complete ceremony, she placed an arm over her chest and bowed slightly to Zxyl.

“This is the way.”

The trooper looked at the locked datapad and slid it to the side. Pushing up from the table he moved over by Evelyn to read the datapad she received.

Reaching out Korvis grabbed his drink and downed the rest of the dark brew in one fell swoop. Taking his helmet off the table he placed it on his head. The locking mechanism gave a slight click as it came to rest. He stood up and set some credits on the bar behind him to cover his tab.

“Works over it would seem, time to go play.”

ansi NoobisGM: The transport arrives outside.

“I’ll go familiarize myself with the flight controls of this ship. Come on K-D9. Let’s get to work.”

Eevie once again gives Zxyl a respectful nod.

Realizing it was time to go, the trooper resealed his helmet. Taking a look at then Regent he walked deliberately to the waste basket, retrieved the discarded datapad, and handed it to the Regent.

“You should read that, sir,” he said briskly as he walked off to board the transport with the enthusiasm of a kid going to get on public transit to their education building.

The kid was gonna be a problem. Of that, Renora was certain. It wasn’t that he was young, no that could be accounted for. The issue as it was lay solely in his inexperience.

Lovely.

The armour-clad woman nodded towards Zxyl in acknowledgement of their marching orders before backpedalling towards the entrance. She didn’t turn her back on the room until the last moment, minimizing her exposure. Renora didn’t so much as greet the others before she was already on the transport and performing a routine weapon inspection.

Evelyn almost gave the Trooper her datapad instead of him reading over her shoulder. The transport had arrived. She slid out of the booth and her eyebrow rose at the enthusiastic walk that the trooper was doing towards the transport. No matter. It was time to do the mission, make sure everyone survives, and get out.

She stepped into the transport.

ansi NoobisGM: The star wars taxi takes you all (+ Aisha, who is literally just tagging along to make sure the ship doesn't get attacked while you're out doing your thing) to the main spaceport in Eos City, dropping you off. It's a larger hangar. You're dropped off on the North side. In the marked landing area to your right is a silver and GAT-12 Skipray Blastboat. On the south side of the hangar, the left marked area has a Basilisk War Droid. Your destination is the YZ-900 freighter parked on an angle over the south-right landing pad. Aisha quickly gets out of the taxi, which was somewhat crowded, and makes her way to/in the Watered Charhound, finding a spot on the 2nd deck to chill out for the trip.

Arriving at the hanger in a very crowded taxi Korvis made his way up the boarding ramp and went to search for some room to get prepared for the coming fight. He ended up setting up in the Cargo Hold. Removing his heavy repeater cannon Korvis set about painstakingly cleaning and testing each function.

He found the process both beneficial for the fight as no one wanted a malfunction due to poor upkeep. It also cleared his mind keeping sharp as he focused on the details of the firearm. He would join the others after he was finished.

Two of the Mandalorians got out of the taxi quickly and Evelyn followed. She gazed over to the GAT-12 Skipray Blastboat that was sitting in the hanger. Oooh. So tempting. But that wasn’t the ship they were to bring. Entered the Watered Charhound, she may her way to the cockpit and sat down at the co-pilot seat. She started to check if all systems were good.

The trooper got out of the taxi, awkwardly situating the blaster holster as he climbed out.

The ship wasn’t much to look at but, to him, he didn’t have a good comparison of what would be a lot to look at.

As he climbed the ramp he was left with a quandary. Where was he going to sit? He didn’t know any of these people and so far none of them had introduced themselves. Though, he hadn’t done the same himself. The Regent and failed to read the message his father had sent and he felt that everything has gone awry since then.

He opted to go where both the action would be and there would be fewer people.

Navigating the narrow corridor he entered the cockpit, looking for a seat and noticing the woman he has peaked at the datapad earlier.

“Hi, I’m Rohan. Mine is I grab a seat up here?” He asked, waiting for a response before sitting.

Renora remained uninterested in her fellows and entirely focused on the job. She said nothing as she finished inspecting her weapons and made her way onto the ship. Then, she proceeded to find a quiet spot to run diagnostics on her armour.

Eevie sat in the cockpit with Evelyn, going through a quicke series of diagnostic checks. She wanted their to be as few surprises as possible. It seemed the other woman, a face she’d have heard of in passing within Arcona, was gonna be a co-pliot. Eevie hoped the woman could keep up.

Evelyn heard a modulated voice and glanced over to see where it was coming from. She nodded to an empty seat for the Trooper to sit down on before turning back. The co-pilot was being on par with Eevie with the checks.

Since Rohan had introduced himself, she may as well. “I’m Wyvern.” She normally avoids first name basis. It was her preference. She glanced over to Eevie for a moment. “Heard about you from Lieutenant Colonel Erinos.”

“Thanks,” Rohan said, taking the seat. “How long till we are take off?”

“All good things, I would hope.”

Eevie spoke with amusement clear in her voice even thrift her helmet. She knew that she had at times gotten a reputation because of her carefree and bubbly nature, but she honestly could care less what people think of her personality. Now her professional opinion was one she did care for. Even with her lively behavior, she always completely her assignments to near unmistakable efficiency.

Finishing up her diagnostics, K-D9 rolled up to her.

“Hey, D9, can you hook up to the ship’s cameras and make sure the whole group is on board. Wouldn’t wanna leave anyone behind.”

The BB unit whirled positively and hooked up to the ship’s access port. Eevie then turned to her young crew mate.

“Once I know all are accounted for and safely ready to go, we’re off. I suggest you use the refresher kid, cause we ain’t stopping for bathroom breaks.”

The glibness in her tone was accompanied by a wink they couldn’t see.

TuQ trailed the rest of the team, being the last to board the blastboat. Wandering through the ship TuQ found a spot in the cargo bay across from the hulking Mandalorian cleaning his comically large heavy repeater. Pulling his DL-44 from his hip-holster, TuQ began inspecting it and polishing the blaster with his shirt sleeve.

“That’s…uhh, a lot of fire power,” he mumbled.

“Better to have too much than not enough. At least that has always been my experience.” The Consul said without looking up.

ansi NoobisGM: Pilots: all systems nominal as you complete any pre-flight checks. You even notice this thing comes with quite a beefy shielding system, military-grade in fact. A possible byproduct of what happened with the last ship Zxyl loaned out during Adventure #1.

Evelyn glanced over to Rohan for a moment. Usually, adults don’t ask how long until they take off. Or maybe he was just a hyper individual. Great. No matter. Now was the time to do the mission and to do it well. Before she turned to her head to gaze on the consoles to do any last minute checks. The fact that this beauty had an amazing shielding system just made her day. If she was an expressive woman, she would do a chef’s kiss.

A mental chef’s kiss will have to do for now.

“Yes, Erinos. All good things.” It wasn’t like Jax to talk bad about people behind their backs.

Rohan cocked his head in amusement at the suggestion. He had went to the fresher before they arrived at the AT-AT turned bar. Though now, he couldn’t help but think about going. While he squirmed a moment in his seat he opted not to let them think of him as a kid. He was sixteen after all.

He noticed a startup routine at the station he was sitting at and decided to busy himself with that instead.

“Hey, K-D9, patch me through to the rest of the ship.”

The astromech used its interface to open up ship wide communications from the cockpit.

“Attention flyers, we will be taking off in a moment and exiting Arx’s atmosphere. Our destination is Zoltar, or more directly the ORP base on the planet. Please keep your hands and feet inside the vehicle at all times, and enjoy the ride.”

K-D9 disconnected the comms and began to work out mapping coordinates to reach the system. Eevie turned to her copilot.

“And here is where the fun begins.”

Eevie began to fire up the ship’s systems, and assisted her froid with running an algorithm with the ship’s consoles to find the best route to reach their destination.

Evelyn mentally sighed at Eevie’s comment of keeping hands and feet inside and to enjoy the ride. She kept her attention on the consoles and the window for an surprises or anything that Eevie may miss.

Route identified. You take the ship out, gain access to leave through the shield gate, and off you go! You can enter hyperspace and the rest of you can converse/get to know each other a little better over the next 24ish hours. After that we'll get you guys on the ground and approaching the temple. >:)

Evelyn settled and her shoulders relaxed some. She looked over to the Mandalorian pilot.

“I’m guessing you want to take the first shift? How you want to do this, every twelve or every six?”

Evelyn just hoped Eevie wasn’t an idiot like most soldiers who think they can truck on through 24 hours.

Which, they can if needed. Evelyn’s been there as a solider herself. But there’s an increase of risks and slower reflexes.

If there was a chance of rest to avoid that situation, she would take it.

TuQ gave Korvis a nod and got up to wandered the ship, the Mandalorian didn’t seem to be very talkative today. A group of voices chatting away caught his attention and the Kel Dor followed the sound of conversation up to the cockpit. Inside he found Evelyn, Eevie and Rohan seated at their stations. TuQ leaned against the door frame.

“How’s our flight team holding up?” he asked while watching the blue streaks of hyperspace filling the viewport. “Never got a chance to introduce myself. You can call me TuQ, or Hat.”

Evelyn’s head turned to the newly arrival while she waited for Eevie’s respond to her question.

She stared at him and considered for a moment.

“Is your last name really Hat?”

A look up puzzlement flashed across his face momentarily.

“No, it’s Varick. People just call me the Hat because of, well…” he pointed to the hat sitting on his head.

Evelyn gave a single nod. So Hat was more of a nickname because of the garment he chose to wear. If that thing was two more inches wider, he would be hitting doorways.

“You can call me Wyvern.”

Having completed her initial checks, Renora tapped a button on her wrist and temporarily disabled her HUD. The information, while useful, could become distracting in confined spaces without purpose.

The woman then rose to her feet and made her way to the cockpit. Despite the heavy armour sge carried, her bootfalls were surprisingly quiet. In fact, Renora had to intentionally make sound as she entered behind TuQ.

TuQ jumped a touch, startled to find Renora standing behind him.

“Sorry,” he mumbled as he shuffled out of the way.

Eevie, having been slightly zoned out from her love of flying turned to see the newcomers in the cockpit. A read out from K-D9 informed her of the query by her co-pilot.

“Sorry, Ev. Was a bit in the zone for a minute. I think on and off 6 hour shifts would be better for keeping ourselves rested and ready to go. And yeah, I’ll go first.”

The Mandalorian then turned to the others before speaking.

“You guys can call me Eevie. I hope we can all work well together to get this mission done right.”

“Sounds good. And do not call me Ev.” She glanced a shot to Erinos. Being called Evelyn by non-friends was annoying enough but any nicknames? No. She glanced over to Varick and the Mandalorian she saw earlier. She realized they wouldn’t know the ETA. “We’ll arrive in 24 hours. I suggest resting up.”

Eevie had a point. Working together was important. She would come back here and hang out for a bit she suppose before she goes off and rest. But first, there was one other who doesn’t know about the ETA. Before she goes inform the other one, she nodded at the female Mandalorian whose name she didn’t get yet, “Nice to meet you, I’m Wyvern.”

<@185936112441622529>

Renora returned the nod, her vocoder clicking on. “Wyvern,” the former Legionnaire said as a greeting and an acknowledgement of the pilot’s name. “You may call me Renora.”

There was an inherent haughtiness that the Imperial accent carried which was only amplified by the woman’s faceless helm. “ETA acknowledged.”

“Renora.” She nodded her head at her and squeezed between the two of them as she made her way over to the other Mandalorian.

When she found him, he was cleaning his weapons.

“Thought you should know ETA is 24 hours. Rest up if needed. There’s rooms on this ship. And I’m Wyvern.”

<@583854106599489557>

TuQ nodded his head and touched the tip of his middle and index fingers to the brim of his hat before heading off in search of a bunk. He needed to make up for his lack of sleep from the night before.

“Appreciate the heads up, Wyvern. I am Korvis. I tend to get focused on tasks. I will be up to catch up with everyone soon.” The Ratattaki stated.

Rohan sat in his chair taking in the conversation and trying, through failing, to commit each of the names to memory. He’d turn and watch as each spoke in turn but never found an opportunity with the growing crowd to speak up and join the conversation.

Eventually, he crossed his arms and leaned back in the chair. Maybe things would change once they exited the ship. As the conversation continued he began to absentmindedly swivel in his chair.

Was… she supposed to say something to that? She pondered for a moment.

If this was one of your soldiers, what would you say?

“That’s a good trait to have.” She gave him a small nod before going into one of the rooms to get some rest for six hours. She took the room closest to the cockpit, figured if Erinos need her, she can have a better chance to run there.

As Eevie sat back in her chair, she pulled out her blaster and began to clean it up a bit. Weapon maintenance was a good way to pass some time. She then turned to her droid companion.

“Hey, K-D9. How about we liven up this cockpit huh? Can you turn on some good music?”

The droid gave a few approving beeps before a light melody filled the flight room. Not too loud as to be distracting to the others who might be resting, but enough that when Eevie took off her helmet, she could sway her hair with the rhythm.

“So much better.”

Eevie lightly sang along with the popular tunes, her voice holding a strong harmony with the vocal artists.

The YZ-900 continues space-truckin' through hyperspace, eventually reaching the target destination! As Eevie disengages the hyperdrive, Zoltar comes into view. Just like in the briefing, it's a temperate planet covered in lush and vibrant greens, some small oceans, with polar ice caps. The ice caps both extend a good 20% towards the center. Zoltar's sun, a yellow single star, shines brightly across the planet's surface and is in position behind the ship.

Eevie sat in her seat, and glanced over to her copilot next to her. She was smiling behind her helmet.

“K-D9, open up comms. Attention flyers, we will be starting up our descent onto Zoltar. Some turbulence is possible. It’s go time people.”

Flight controls in hand, Eevie moved the ship into the Planets atmosphere, and began landing procedures.

Evelyn was already in her co-pilot seat. She had returned from her second rest 45 minutes ago. She saw Eevie turned to look at her and Evelyn just stared at her. Was she going to say something? But then talked to the droid. Oh. Maybe she meant the droid.

She glanced over to Rohan.

Why was he still here? No matter. She double checked her seat’s harness.

Rohan continued to absent minded swivl his chair. He didn’t really need to be here but he didn’t really feel like belonged back in the hold with the others.

It was the perfect trap for the teenager and, as such, he stayed. Occasionally checking the monitors as they descended.

Korvis felt the drop from hyperspace before Eevie announced it and started gathering up his things. He readied himself by attaching his gear and double checking everything one last time. The consummate soldier he had chosen to rest up in the cargo hold he left the beds for the others who might not be as accustomed to field life. He made his way up to the cockpit to watch the landing and begin scoping out the terrain.

Eevie: The ride in is fairly easy. A bit of turbulence as expected, but nothing too extreme. You manage to locate the temple in question from a distance/using scanners on the outskirts of a small sbandoned/ruined city, sandwiched on all sides by lush forest. There's a suitable LZ on the end opposite the old temple.

The LZ is surrounding by high enough trees that unless someone really goes looking, the freighter should be adequately camouflaged. For a giant metal thing.

Eevie pointed out the landing zone to Wyvern and began landing procedures.

Evelyn glanced over and nodded. That was a good place, to keep the ship hidden from others.

‘Not bad, Erinos.’

You guys land the YZ-900 freighter without issue. As expected, the foliage from the trees does an adequate job of concealing it. When you're ready to depart, the datapads Zxyl gave you show that the ruined small city is approximately a kilometer north of your location, with the entrance to the temple approximately two kilometers beyond that.

TuQ felt the ship touchdown with a light thud, Eevie and Evelyn were an impressive pair of pilots. He lifted the hat he had resting on his face, sat up in his bunk and made his way to the loading ramp to meet up with rest of the team.

“Do we have a plan of attack here?” Korvis said to the assembled team. He was itching for the upcoming fight but didn’t want to go in guns blazing if someone had a better plan.

Rohan, finally finding a reason to walk back to the larger group once the ship had set down, just shrugged at the question. Was there a bigger plan? Was he missing some grand design here or was it simply a go in, remove the obstacles, and then get the stuff and go?

“Attack, isn’t that the plan?” TuQ drew his plaster ready to go, he looked outside the ship for the first time and saw the surrounding, taking in the trees. “Wait, where’s the temple? Don’t tell me we have to walk there, this is starting to sound like exercise, and I don’t like exercise. I’m out.”

Aisha is just going to stick it out in the ship. She's chilling on the wrap-around sofa with her helmet resting on the table.

“If there’s a plan to me made, it can be made as we make our way there. We’ve got about…what…3 kilometers to go. Let’s get a move on.”

Eevie looked to TuQ after he said “he’s out” over the exercise, and giggled under her helmet.

“Really shoulda thought about the before accepting the Regents mission. I’m. It sure how favorable its gonna look on your end if you walk away…plus…how are ya gettin home? I won’t be flying ya if you ditch us.”

She then started her trek through the foliage.

TuQ sighed, frak, she’s right, the Regent wouldn’t appreciate him walking off the job this quickly.

“Wait, wait, I’m coming,” he chased after the pilot. Gods, he was already starting to get out of breath. This was going to be torture.

Evelyn removed herself from the harness of the chair and started to pat herself down to make sure she had everything. She got up from the chair.

She looked to the trooper. She doesn’t know why or can explain it, but his childish methods made her want to keep an eye on him. When she caught up with Korvis and TuQ, she went back to remembering that the map of the ruined city wasn’t enough.

Then TuQ decided to whine.

Before she could say anything, Eevie had already beaten her to the punch. And she was much nicer than what Evelyn would’ve said.

She followed Eevie.

Since Atra will be away from PC, we won't count on him to keep moving.

You guys start moving through the forest! It's super dense, so it requires a bit of maneuvering and walking not-in-a-direct line. After just 100 meters, you come to a ravine. It's wide enough that a normie can't just jump across it, and a few meters deep. It twists and turns through your line of view, with trees eventually obscuring it around some bends.

Eevie looks over the ravine and turns to the others.

“Well this looks like fun to cross. Who needs a ride?.”

Motioning to her jetpack, the Mandalorian offered to bring folks to the other side if needed.

Evelyn looked at the trees then over to the ravine.

There was a few options and Eevie chimed in about who needs a ride as she glanced over to the team. At least most of them had jetpacks. That was good. Easier even.

Evelyn knew she wasn’t capable for jetpacks. She was grateful for them.

“Okay.” Evelyn said to Eevie as she approached the woman. “No tricks,” warned the hybrid.

“Tricks? We’re on mission right now. I’m a professional.”

Eevie hrabbed ahold of Evelyn before firing up her pack to launch the two of them to the other side.

Eevie: You deftly pilot both yourself and Evelyn to the other side of the ravine, having found a nice little nook, avoiding any flora/tree obstacles in your way.

Rohan looked at the group checking their jetpacks and, for a moment, felt envy at not having one. However, he never needed to rely upon technology for jumping ravines. His childhood on the run from his father meant they often were staying in forested areas and he loved to go exploring.

He centered his mind and let the Force flow through his body. He took a deep breath and exhaled. Backing up a couple steps he took a running start and then leapt across the ravine.

TuQ walked to the edge of the ravine and kicked a few pebbles over the edge. Thank god he had thought to bring his newest toy. And Selika laughed at me for buying a jet pack.

He let out a deep sigh, no better to learn how to use a jet pack than out in the field. The Kel Dor took a few steps back and ran at the edge of the ravine right on the tail of the young (?) trooper. His toe grabbed the edge of rock and he launched himself forward. Just as he began his free fall, TuQ activated the jet pack.

Rohan! You make the jump to the other side of the ravine just fine, but land *uncomfortably* close to both Eevie and Evelyn. Like, you may as well be breathing down their necks. :P

TuQuan! You're pretty new at this jetpacking thing, it seems like. You also make it to the other side, but you land kind of awkwardly. Not in the same sense as Rohan, but it definitely is not as smooth.

As TuQ flew through the air he got the sense that he could get used to this. Hell, it was actually kind of fun! That feeling came to an end quickly as he realized he was heading nearly head first to the other side. As the gap closed he shut the jet pack off and struggled the get his feet back underneath himself.

At the last moment he was successful, but not at all graceful. He landed awkwardly, stumbling forward and tripping. Finally he came to a complete stop and looked around at his companions.

“Right, that could have gone worse at least.”

Rohan should have bent his knees as sticking the landing was not his strong suit. He had misjudged his distance and ended up nearly toppling over Eevie and Evelyn.

As he spun his arms to regain his balance and stand up he was thankful for his helmet as his face went beet red.

“Sorry,” he mumbled as he took a step back.

“All good, Rohan. Just try to keep your mind on your footing.”

Eevie looked around before making her way forward. They still had a job to do.

Rohan looked immediately at his feet and then back up. He slowly followed along self-conscience about his movements.

From behind her mask, Renora watched TuQ fly with an amused expression. Once he had landed, she walked towards the ravine edge. It was completely casual, even as she took the last step and turned it into a jetpack reinforced hop. She finished the step on the other side of the ravine and continued her casual walk, her dark visor fixed upon TuQ as if to make a point.

She said nothing as she, once again, checked on the readiness of her pistols.

Korvis! You make it to the other side fine as well.

Watching the others make their jumps Korvis took a few big strides and ignited his jetpack. It roared to life as the heavy duty jetpack lifted him off the ground and carried him to the other side of the ravine. It wasn’t subtle but it sure beat climbing.

You guys have a couple more obstacles in your way, but nothing you can't deal with. After about another 700 meters, with the ruined city just barely visible now through the trees, you come to a small clearing. Craters from orbital bombardment are scattered about, as are some skeletal remains. There looks to be a path on the other side of the clearing, likely leading into the city.

TuQ leaned against a tree on the edge of the clearing, taking a moment to catch his breath.

What the frack happened here?

“Alright, looks like we’re almost there. Who wants to lead the way?” he asked, warily eyeing the remains of some, hopefully, long dead creature.

Evelyn rose her eyebrow at TuQ. Can he even fight if he’s already out of breath?

“Should work on your stamina. I was going to ask if we should take the obvious path or flank around.”

“I find the direct route to usually be the best.” Of course when you are nearly seven feet tall sneaking isn’t exactly your strength. “But I will defer to the group.”

“Just tell me what I need to shoot,” Renora said with a click, the ever present static distorting her voice somewhat. “When the time comes, of course.”

“It might be smarter to take the long way around. If you guys need I can go on ahead and scout things out while you’re staying back a bit.”

Evelyn doesn’t say anything while she listened to the others.

Then Eevie chimed up and gained a nod from Evelyn.

“Let’s team up on the scout. Safer that way.” At least TuQ could get some rest now to catch his breath.

“Sounds like a good plan. We will wait a few minutes and then slowly follow.” Korvis responded. “That way we can respond quickly if needed.”

The field stretches on for about 250m both left and right from your current position, and again, and it's about 100m from your position to the trees.

TuQ nodded in agreement.

“Sounds solid. Keep your comm open, I’ll keep an eye on the tree line.” TuQ pulled a pair of macrobinoculars out that he had snagged from the ship.

Renora sighed as she surveyed the group. They would need every advantage, especially with inexperience exuding from one of their members. She brought her wrist up and pressed a few commands, hearing the familiar ‘power up’ thrum inside her helmet which meant her optical camouflage was now active.

Renora goes invisible! (Roll subterfuge for me in OOC)

Evelyn attempts to sneaky sneak, immediately trips over a random root into a pile of mud. She's wet, and dirty, which means she'll blend in, but squish squish squishy noises.

TuQ scanned the opposite side of the clearing, nothing grabbing his attention, focused on the tree line he heard a sickly, wet squelching noise. Lower the binoculars he looked over the see a mud covered Evelyn picking herself up from the ground.

“Camouflage?” he asked.

Evelyn grimaced as she exhaled slowly. Fine.

She turned onto her back and gets her white hair completely muddied. Might as well. She pushed herself up and continued onwards, moving much more slow in hopes to lessen the squish sounds of her damp clothes.

Rohan, not one to be left out, decided to quietly join the scout party.

Rohan tags along with Evelyn. He's in white stormtrooper armor, so he doesn't blend very well, but he's kinda quiet about it.

Evelyn spot something bright from the corner of her eye as she gestured for Rohan to stop and pointed at the mud.

“Roll.” Why couldn’t he stay back with the others?

“Or go back.”

“Roll,” Rohan mouthed to himself, looking around briefly to see if there was a threat. After a few passes of the area it dawn on him. “Oh, the uniform,” he exclaimed, as he knelt down into a similar muddle of mud and obscured the white armor.

“Sorry,” he said, standing up. “I didn’t know you felt into the mud intentionally.”

Eevie activates her Armors camouflage before heading on ahead.

Eevie practically disappears from existance. She's just... gone. No sound, no visual, nothing. She could jump around in front of you, and you wouldn't even know it.

Eevie, invisible from the senses of her comrads, rushes through the foliage. Moving through the trees, she keeps an eye out for anything strange, or potentially dangerous. At interval times she will alert the others to her location and points of safety.

Eevie, as you're booking it through the field (before you even reach the foliage), you notice your foot nearly step on a small, metal cylindrical thing sticking out of the dirt.

Anyone else who is going through the field, roll Perception! (I believe that is Renora, Rohan, and Evelyn)

Evelyn exhaled slowly as she brought her finger to her lips and makes a shushing motion to Rohan. She turned and continued onwards on a slower and more careful pace.

Seeing the metal object, Eevie keeps examines it further. Making sure not to touch it, she tries to make out what it is.

Roll... Crafting.

Evelyn, Renora: You guys keep doing the sneaky sneak, you don't notice anything. Which direction are you headed in across the field? Left or right?

Eleceos: You carefully move a bit of stuff around the little metal thing. It doesn't take a genius (a 1 would have told you) to figure out it's a mine.

“Well, that ain’t good.”

Eevie used her helmets comms to alert the party.

“Hey y'all, watch your feet out here. This field has mines in it.”

She then slowed her pace as she began moving towards the foliage, watching where she was stewing much closer.

Evelyn paused for a moment at hearing Eevie’s voice cut through the coms. Mines. She glanced at the left and right.

“I’m going to the left,” Evelyn informed her team while being cautious with her footing.

“Mines? Probably best if I just stay here until a clear path is identified.” Korvis replied into the comm of his helmet. He had little skill in treading carefully and less so around mines. If nothing else he would just his jetpack to go over the mined area.

“`Everyone scouting makes it past the minefield, now that you’re all aware of it. On the other side is about 50m worth of trees, and on the other side of that is the ruined "city” near the temple. It’s about 2km wide from the edge to the temple, which can now be seen in the distance. You’re able to see the landing pad on the near side of it; there are two black Remnant-style (Mandalorian Season 2) Gozanti-class Cruisers there. The city is quiet… Very quiet.

Most buildings are only couple stories, but there are a few damaged buildings that are a bit higher. It looks like the city was mostly there to support the temple, or vice versa. There are craters in the streets, in buildings, etc.. and there is no population left.“`

Rohan gave a shrug. It all seemed to easy as he set off in the direction of the temple. The drying mud now cracking and falling off of him in a little dust cloud.

The city was eerily quiet as Korvis followed suit and started making his way into the city. He tried his best to stick to the sides of the street for cover if needed. If one could even call it a street anymore. There were enough craters in it to make it a bumpy ride even in a landspeeder. Blaster marks scored the walls of the buildings and most looked like all they needed was one good hard push to topple over. Whatever had happened here it was obvious that no one survived to tell the story.

Evelyn didn’t like how quiet it was. She eyed over the ships for a moment before continuing on towards the temple with the group.

Eevie, without removing her optical camouflage, began moving through the city ruins. She kept her eyes open, looking for possible traps or enemies along the way. The silence was foreboding, but the Sephi used it to her advantage, hoping and noise may give her an edge if a trap or ambush was imminent.

Renora also moves stealthily through the city. She and Eevie make it less than half of the across the city before noticing a contingent of B2 Battle Droids heading in the direction of the rest of the group from a crossing street. There are approximately ten of them, all bearing a logo none of you of you have seen. The lead droid is painted midnight black, and the photo receptors of all droids (their eye slits, in this case) are red in color. The group will directly run into them not long from now, with both parties reaching that particular corner around the same time.

On your travels through the city, you all have noticed the same over arching theme. Destruction and death. Whoever or whatever might have been here while the temple was occupied by Jedi was obviously no longer here. Like the field you had traversed earlier, there are a few random bodies of fallen here and there.

Upon seeing the droids, Eevie kicked into gear. She looked around and sall a building, and ran behind it out of sight of the droids. Using her Jetpack, she launched herself into the air, flying to the top and landing on the building before making her way towards the edge. She switched on her comms to warn her party.

“Heads up you guys, droids heading your way. I’m in sniper position, and gonna start laying down suppressive fire.”

Grabbing her sniper rifle, she took aim, and as her cloaking powered down she fired two shots at the droids.

“`Eevie’s stealthy stealth shots slam into two of the droids. The Trandoshan Tripler it is equipped with 100% lends a helping hand, with the two bolts of energy blowing right through The armor plating of two of the immediate droids following the leader (since no target was specified. ;)). The two blasts completely annihilate the inside of the droids, which immediately powers down and topples over.

The contingent of B2 Battle Droids immediately take notice, raise their arms carrying their dual-barrel blaster cannons, and start laying down their own fire towards Eevie as they continue to proceed forward - stopping just shy of losing sight of her.

While most of the remaining droids hit the partially disassembled building that the Mando had fired from, a few did not hit the parapet - with two return shots heading directly for her.

At this point everyone in the group can hear the blaster fire. Both parties, from the droids to the group, are now about a minute’s droid/regular pace walk from the corner.

Eevie: you have two shots coming your way. Make a reactionary post/roll!”`

Seeing the incoming shots, Eevie fires up her jetpack, launching herself in the direction of another roof top. She needed to keep her distance, but maintain a good firing spot from the droids.

Eevie: you fire up your jetpack in the nick of time, avoiding both shots and putting yourself on another building top. It is now your round.

Hearing the shots ring out, TuQ drew his blaster and rushed forward.

“Back up is on the way!”

The Kel Dor pressed up against the corner of a building for cover, poked his head out from around the corner and unloaded a volley of shots at the distracted droids.

Positioning herself on the second building. She took a few seconds to center herself before aiming over the side and firing two more rounds at the droids. She needed to keep their attention on her.

Write yo post doing the fly fly, Korvis! You make it there soon enough to take a single action, but are not within melee range until next round if you decide to go for that.

Hearing the shot ring out Korvis wasn’t about to miss the action. Taking his spear off his back Korvis looked at Rohan just a few steps ahead of him. “Better double time it if you want any kills.”

Two long strides and Korvis fired up his jetpack. The lift carried him just about the roof tops but sped him quickly to the action. The short burst of speed got him close to the action but he risked getting shot down if he went higher but even as skilled a pilot as he was navigating in the streets was just as dangerous. He cut the engines and came to a sliding stop and prepared to charge into the droids spear drawn.

“`Korvis arrives on the scene, ready for action next player round. Eevie’s blaster bolts slam into one other droid, completely mangling it and dropping it as she and TuQ (whose two bolts both slam into a droid as well, knocking out one of its arms and a leg) both provide sufficient distractions for each other. There are 6 droids left, and they are now fully aware of everyone. They radio in for reinforcements as they unload on you three. Four bolts coming each your way!

One hits the parapet of the building Eevie is on, so she has 3 to deal with.

Two hit the wall near TuQ, so he has 2 to deal with.

Korvis is out in the open, he’s got 4 to deal with.

Reaction posts/rolls! (Evading (piloting, athletics, whatever) or parrying (using a suitable weapon/item))”`

Next player round (after I post results of the reactions) everyone will arrive at the same corner as TuQ, and a dozen reinforcements will also arrive...

<@216702440140046336> <@185936112441622529> <@679032520699805708>

Seeing the bolts heading her way, Eevie tries to duck back from the buildings edge to avoid being hit.

“`Korvis, Eevie, and TuQ all avoid scorchin’ bolts.

Player round! Everyone is in the same location now. Droid reinforcements (some B1s some BXs, one HK) have arrived.”`

Seeing the emergence of an HK droid, Eevie concentrated her fire on the assassin droid. She aimed her Sniper Rifle and fired two rounds at the new threat.

TuQ’s shots found their target as one the droids stumbled from a shot to the leg. Well, that certainly got their attention! The Kel Dor ducked back behind his cover as two of the droids returned fire.

Dust and stone chips burst from wall as the bolts slammed into the stone just beside where his head had just been. As the sound of footsteps alerted him to the arrival of his teammates the heavy clunk of metal on stone announced the arrival of more droids. Once again he leaned out from behind cover and opened fire on the growing crowd of droids.

Evelyn stayed put at her cover. She needed them to be closer and she was not going to be a hinderance to her team by running into the wave of droids that can shoot blasters at her easily.
