Session export: Thieving Gutterslug!

As you enter the Duskhound, you’re amazed by the dank vibes it secretes. The lights flicker in the cargo hold and beyond the locked door you can hear the chatter of a conversation being held between two potential henchmen. You can’t yet make out what they’re saying but their presence has been made known.

I believe we should eliminate the two in this hall quietly. Wenet hop up on this create, the rest will take up position to take them down when they enter the room. Thoughts on this plan? I’ll take a place by the door

Taking a kneeling position, Doku closed his eyes and began to reach out with the force. Using his trained senses he projected a wave to locate any further opposition on the freighter.

The Force rippled throughout the ship and vague visions started to come to mind. However, in that moment, the intercom came to life and Dylan’s voice could be heard.

“We’re setting a course for Nar Shaddaa. Buckle up boys”

While the message was of little importance. It was enough to distract Doku from gaining any insight on the actual number of individuals aboard.

In a low whisper he turned to the others, “Well aside from the two at the door I couldnt get a read on any body. My senses arent like they ust to be these days. Im all for the brunt approach but are there any vents we could use? Wenet is small enough to fit thru to the point where we could get a better read on the layout.” he placed his hand on his lightsaber ready to ignite at a moments notice.

Jon drew a trio of knives from under his cape, and took a position by the door. Looking around, he spotted an air vent leading up from the ceiling, and gestured silently to Wenet and Doku, pointing it out.

Wenet was probably the only one that had no problem being stowed away inside a crate for several hours. It was quite spacious even, so spacious that she didn’t need any stretching when she rolled out of the crate. At once the Kushiban was ready. After a quick gear check she gave the ‘ok’ sign that she was ready for action.

Waza told her to take position on a crate and shared his idea to take out the men outside the room, once they entered. “could work” she replied softly and watched Doku do his thing. When unsuccessful in using the Force to sense how many they were up against, they suggested Wenet used the vents. At once a smile appeared on her face and she wiggled her furry brow. “oh that’s more like it” she said. “give me a boost and I’ll see what I can findout” she said taking off her rifle as that would make to much noise inside the vents. She walked over to Jon who pointed out the ceiling vent. “I can jump pretty high, but it would be appreciated if you’d help me up” she said with a wink..

Jon stowed his knives momentarily, and got down, putting his hands out before him to offer a lift.

“I think we should hang on just a minute until we transition to hyperspace before putting her in the vent in case there are any sudden movement, as soon as we are in lets get her going.”

“I agree, would hate to make a jumble of noise being knocked around. Currently we have the element of surprise and I would hope to keep it that way.” Doku said as he transitioned his position on the opposite side of the door Waza was preparing at.

The engines of the freighter increased to full throttle and the hyperdrive whined as it soaked up power from the generator. It swelled to max capacity before releasing its tremendous energy into a thrust that sent it careening through the void.

As soon as Jon felt the familiar shock of hyperspace, he signaled to Wenet, and got down to propel her up to the nearest airduct. Once she stepped onto his hands, he yeeted her into the air.

Like a furry torpedo Wenet sliced through the stagnant air of the ship and landed on the nearest airduct.

After landing on top of the air duct she reached for the grate. With her sharp nails she managed to losen it and remove it. Then using her long tail she held it while she slipped inside the duct and closed it behind her her.

As quiet as possible the small Kushiban moved through the ducts out of the room. First stop was in what seemed to be the corridor outside the door of the room they were in. She peeked through the grate to see who was infront of it. She made a note of what she saw and then quietly moved further to see what else she could find..

The crew of the Duskhound were still oblivious to the stowaways as they continued with their conversations. All seemed normal as the ship continued on its trek through the stars.

“Depending on what Wenet finds should we search the Captains bunk first or the common area where the food prep happens? Or should we just skip ahead to taking the ship and turning us around?”

Waza hoped the others would pick the searching the ship and quietly returning, it was a cookbook after all.

Listening to the sounds of the ship Waza heard no sounds from the vents and knew Wenet was a master at moving secretly. He would have to keep that in mind for the future.

Jon shrugged. “Can’t think of a reason to dally around all day, personally. If Wenet can confirm there’s no one on board outside that room, why shouldn’t we be back home in time for drinks? I’ll buy.”

Wenet makes her way deeper into the vent and peers through the grating to her right. She can make out two of Dylan’s crewmates standing right outside of the door and there doesn’t appear to be anyone else nearby.

After seeing the two men outside the door, Wenet turns back. As quiet as before, she returns to the ventilation grate in the storage room. She carefully opens it and whilst remaining up there she reports back what she saw.

“there’s two men outside this door, I didn’t see or hear anyone else nearby” she whispered to them “I think we could take care of them easily” she add with a smirk.. “lure them inside and hide them in here before moving on, what you think?” she asks the other three. “oh, shall I stay up here? See what else I can find?” she finally asks them.

Waza listened to Wenet’s report and began planning, we could force this door open and the closest would come in to see, the next would undoubtedly follow him in.

“Ok I’ll get the door open you all get ready to grab and neutralize the two men. Wenet I’ve seen you fight, jump in where you think you’d be best assist.” Waza said, “Or stay in the vents hidden as our secret weapon.”

Waza turned to the panel and popped it open to stare at all the wires.

“This will be harder than it looks, Doku you know wires and systems right? Trade me places I’ll take one of the guys and you unlock this doors sound good?”

Waza moved to swap places and prepared for a quick disabling before any alarm could be raised.

“Let me see what I can do to the door then.” Doku said as he pulled back his robe and placed his hand on what appeared to be a loose panel. Upon removing the panel he could see a set of wires and small data sections that could be used to rework the door controls.

In no time Doku had the door opened. It hissed, startling the two thugs on the other side. They turned to see who or what triggered it.

Jon spun from his position by the side of the door. “Evening gents, break time!” and, before they could react, through a quartet of spinning daggers through the air, aiming for their hands and legs so as to nonlethally disable them.

The daggers flashed by in a instant as the door opened. Waza grabbed his target by the front of his shirt and spun him into the room, turning at the hips he began striking the head and neck to silence any shout. Chaining together overhand strikes gaining momentum Waza admired the smooth flow of the Echani form of combat even while pummeling his opponent.

Wenet decided to stay up in the air duct. She had faith the three men could handle the guards plus she liked the idea of being their secret weapon.

She went back through the vents and stopped to watch what happened outside the door. “they are doing just fine” she thought to herself and turned left, moving on following the air ducts as quiet as possible. At the next junction she went right towards the common room where she paused to peek through the ventilation grate..

As Wenet peers through the grate, she is alarmed as another guard steps directly in front of her field of vision. But before she does, she can see down the corridor leading to the bridge and catches a glimpse of their target walking by giving her a general location of the Captain.

Peering through the grate she spots their target a moment before another guard steps infront her view of vision. ‘ok.. target on the bridge, atleats one more guard… better report back’ she thinks to herself ‘surely they have taken care of those guards’ she wonders and quietly turns around to return to the storage room..
