Session export: Two Kessurians Walk Into a Bar

Kerissa hadn’t bothered to check the name of the bar. She’d wanted a damned drink and so here she was.

Her tail was wrapped around her thigh as usual, hidden cleanly beneath her skirt that brushed her knee excepting the slit on the other side. It was black, as was the black top with a sheer fabric making up the sleeves and collarbone area.

People brushed past, Selen was a hot pot of everything and everyone. Species from across the galaxy filled the bar, a notable minority among the native Selenians and ever present Humans that filled every corner of the galaxy.

She leaned on the bar, ordering a pair of shots and settling to observe for a while. The music was loud, the bass echoing in her chest like a second heart.

A smile tugged her lips, comfortable in the chaos.

Kerissa was alone for a while before a white Kessurian slid into the seat next to her. The lights overhead caught on his opalescent scales and the silver sleeves of tattoos visible on both arms due to the button up shirt that was rolled up to his elbows– and partly unbuttoned in the front. They hybrid gestured for a drink, flashing a charming smile at the bartender before turning to the other Kessurian beside him. His snow white hair, pulled half back in complex braids that were decorated with wood and metal beads, fell slightly into his face as he leaned on the bartop.

“Well hello there, Gorgeous. Not a lot of Kessurians in this part of the Galaxy.” He held out a calloused hand in greeting. “Name’s Severin. What is it that you go by?”

Kerissa had startled ever so slightly but quickly raised an eyebrow, taking Severin’s hand and shook it, assuming it to be a hand shake.

She had a moment of internal pause, wondering if sharing her actual name was a stupid move before deciding to kark it. She was in danger anywhere, one more person knowing her name wouldn’t be that much more of a problem.

“Kerissa.”

Her shots arrived, the bartender noting to Severin that his would be along soon before the Selenian made haste to the next customer. Kerissa knocked hers back, careful to pull the other one close before settling her fellow Kessurian with a smile, “And no, there isn’t. What brings you round these parts?”

“I needed to get away.” Severin placed his hands in his lap. “Life got… incredibly more serious than I wanted it to lately, and it’s nice to unwind.”

Another bright smile. “Kerissa, then. That’s a beautiful name. What brings you here?”

“Same reason actually.” She raised her emptied glass before setting it back down onto the bartop.

“You come here often, I’m new around town myself.”
