Session export: GJW XVI RO - [Team Vizjizzles]

The orders to march had been given to the Vizslan forces. Saxon and Deathwatch would begin their assualt in 2 hours. The camp was in a state of organized chaos as the ground troops readied themselves. Luck had been on their side as most of the heavy artillery and ground transports had made it through the portal. Raistlin, Kanal, and Dara now stood in front of him. A hand selected crew for a special operations mission.

“Our advanced recon team has went dark. They made it through the plains and to the corpse field. We are going to leave immediately and find them. Kanal, have the Special Mission company from House Wren join us.”

Draex walked up as Korvis finished giving out orders with a confident stride in his step,

“Sir I’d like to volunteer for this mission as well. If you will have me that is.”

He then stood at Parade rest waiting for a response.

As Draex stood at attention Korvis appraised the volunteer. He admired the eagerness the Cathar had to prove himself. Seeing no reason to deny the request Korvis gave his approval, “Request granted. Ready yourself we leave as soon as the House Wren team gets here.”

Kanal acknowledged Korvis with a nod of his helmeted head. “Wren Special Mission Company. Report to the front line. We are going on a rescue mission. Kanal out.” He said quickly.

Hopefully the group would be found alive and well.

“It is almost time to move out everyone. Make sure to get all of your gear set and ready to go.” Kanal said quickly. He had recently stepped down as Quaestor of Wren, but the will to lead was still there within him. “We have to make sure we get our men back, and survive ourselves.

Everyone within the Special Mission Company checked their energy packs, grenades, and made sure their suit atmospheric seals were good to go. Each one of them stood up and got into formation awaiting Korvis’ commands.

The team moved out into the shattered plains following the route the advanced recon team had mapped out. It was slow going as they picked their way across the barren landscape. Most had jetpacks but it took a huge risk of alerting the enemies in the area. The team had made it about halfway across the plains when Korvis stopped them. The path ahead lay riddled with fresh corpses. Most appeared to be forces of the Children of Morris.

“Take a quick look to make sure it isn’t our men.” Korvis ordered. “But we don’t have time for anything else.”
