Session export: Magisterium

The rising sun spreads warms across the small village, the salty coastal air mixes with the smells of the lush vegetation of the jungle. The Krath Highpriest sits as his robes gently waves in the breeze as he meditate in a small clearing waiting for his apprentice to arrive to start today’s lessons. Jinx wakes in a small cot within a little hut made from the very jungle it sits in, it has been a few weeks since she had arrived here with Arshus Wren. She had healed fully since her time aboard derilic ship they both encountered.

Jinx opens her eyes before slamming them shut again from the light. Slowly she eases them back open and sits up. Jinx is glad to finally be pain free again. She gets out of bed and looks around the small hut that has become her temporary home much different from the cave she lived in till her master found her and took her in and gets ready for the day putting on her robe and calling out for her small droid to join her as she grabs her lightsaber from the small table on the corner and makes her way out of the hut and to the clearing where her master awaits her “what’s the plan for today?” She asks with sleep still dripping from her voice

Before Jinx coild finish her sentice, Quentin had lept to his feet at a full run toward his apprentice his erie green bladed lightsaber snaped to life. Jinx barely got her lightsaber up its red blade coming to life just in time to block her masters strike. “Are you awake now? Quentin asks menacingly before continuing "Death does not care if you are tired, defend yourself or die” He said he said firmly. Before he slid back twirling his saber into a guard position preparing for his next strike as the smoke from his ichor soaked cyber crystal installed in the hilt causing the blade to give off a ominous fog.

“Wide!” Is all Jinx reply’s before taking a defensive stance lightsaber in front of her. It’s quiet for a moment and all that can be heard is the hums from both lightsabers and the small droid. “Will Arshus be joining us today?” Jinx asks with a raise of her left eye brow her right eyebrow that homes her scar staying in place.

Quentin shrugs with a grin as he shifts his stance rushing to Jinx unleashing a flurry of strikes pushing her to her very limits. With the spin of his wrist he sends his blade in a spin almost taking Jinx’s head her shoulders but she quickly rolls out of the way twisting and returning to a defensive stance. “Very good apprentice you anticipated the strike” he says smiling.

“Well it’s either that or be headless” Jinx says with a small chuckle before going back to her defensive stance. “You got any plans for after this?” She asks her master as he flips his lightsaber around his hand.

Dreams of light flashed before him, green and red in a dance without sound. The force showing him images of connections with people that he did not understand and to make matters worse displayed them in incoherent patterns.

He was asleep, he finally realized. Lucidity rising, “How Long?” he thought of waking but found it difficult. Becoming singularly focused on this goal he finally awoke and found himself alone under a large tree. Datapad in hand, Lightsaber techniques on screen, he finally recalled what he had been doing. He had practiced until beyond exhaustion.

Unaware of this world or its dangers, the dawn informing him he’d somehow managed to survive the night. This realization prompted him to return back to the hut, perhaps to face punishment for not returning. He quickly gathered himself and made haste back to his companions. Only to be spurred more hastily when the sound of lightsabers reached him.

When in sight of the hut, he saw the glows of red and green emanating from just beyond in a clearing. He neared the area and found the two sparring; he might be in trouble, but looks like Jinx is the one facing punishment now, he silently amused himself at the thought.

Seeing Arshus watching them, Quentin deactivates his lightsaber and hangs it on his belt before speaking “Now that Arshus is here we can begin today’s lessons, come both of you” he quickly says as he turns and beckons both of them to follow him.

Arshus frowned a little at that but hurried over to the two of them. A short time into their journey he felt the need to ask, “Have you two known each other long?” his question formed by the short but harmonic duel he just witnessed.

“Not long at all, she has been my student only for a few months” Quentin pauses for a moment to bow his head to a passing twi'lek as she walked past with a lightsaber hanging from her belt, “ Its only a little further ahead when we arrive we can discuss why I have had you brought here” Quentin finishes as he leads Arshus and Jinx down the woodland path that runs near the river leading to the coast.

A slight breeze blows across the water bring a salty smell of the coast line.

Jinx walked onto the beach taking a deep breath through her nose. “I missed the beach we used to go all the time before mom died”. The memories of her mother and father floods her mind before she forces them back masking the sadness from her face and changing it to a face of seriousness so intense you would think she was mad the crease between her eyebrows making her scar more prominent . “Whats the plan today?” She asks turning to her master.

“Over the next few days you will get a chance to meet a few people thats going to help with things here and there speaking of which here is the first one that is helping you today” he points to the small boat pulling up to shore, the driver is the twi'lek female the party has passed earlier in the woods “Jinx you are to accompany Eliana she will guide you for the rest of the day, Arshus you will continue with me for we are very close now to where we will speak” finishing speaking Quentin continues down the path guiding Arshus onward leaving Jinx on the beach.

Arshus said his own farewells to Jinx and her new companion and continued along the path with his new master. Along the way he noticed his usual wavering mind, and conflicted viewpoints had steadied and become razer focused on Quentin, a most unusual sensation for him. The realisation made him uneasy and he broke the silence between the two of them, “What do you know?” he asked, the question was like a inaccurate broadsword. It could mean anything and Arshus knew that. He wasn’t all that young anymore and knew the question was a bit insulting given their places in society, but in an attempt to goad information, the journeyman wanted to know more about Quentin and he wasn’t sure if it was best to wait until they had reached wherever the Master was taking them before learning.

Quentin smirked at the question as they stepped on to the hot sands of the beach they was heading too “ I know you are driven my rage for revenge, like a tsunami that would rush upon this shore before dieing out further in land by being cut off from the very ocean that created it, you are the very same once you finally get revenge you will be cut off from the power that drives you.” Quentin stops for a second and turns to Arshus “ become my apprentice and you will learn to be that which creates the tsunami, a inexhaustible force that all would fear for you reach would be boundless” Quentin finishes as he stands before Arshus his hands behind his back in a at ease stance.

Meanwhile on boat: the twi'lek is soft spoken when she speaks to Jinx “Quentin has asked me to teach you some things its a short trip by boat back to village today you will be helping me in the garden your leasons will begin there” she says smiling secretly excited and thankful Quentin had return to the village.

Quentin’s word were careful and precise, not at all a clumsy as Arhus’s were. Arshus visibly rattled by those words, as his quest was something dear to him but also so now to was the Force. “Do you mean to tell me the Force will abandon me?” he asked the elder force wielder.

Its not about losing the force, it will always be part of you. Its more about you, now you drive and push yourself beyond your limits to reach the one whom has hurt you, once you get revenge your purpose changes greif will sink in and you will become lost to it what i offer is differant i will help you seek out one you are hunting but after you have destoryed them entirely you will have a new purpose and will be armed with endless power.

Look at it this way what if it wasnt a random act, what if you was targeted if so why and by whom surely you have thought of that? I have come to know there is no random, luck or chance. Everything happens for a reason question is finding that reason. Perhaps when we can find the one whom has hurt you before you destory perhaps you can control yourself long enough to ask!

Arshus’s saber cracked and hissed to life, the action was so remote from the man’s thoughts it didn’t seem to him he was the one doing them. His involuntary movements attempted to bring the saber toward Quentin, “What do you know?” the foolhardy words spat like venom toward the elder force wielder. His mind screamed against this action, knowing it likely a bad one but the rage in his very being surfaced, he found his sound mind but a passenger.

Quentin shifts to the side reaching out with both hands grabbing Arshus with the force and with one fluid motion he spins casting Arshus flying out into the ocean behind him and begins to laugh as Arshus hits the waves hard. “How did that anger work for you, would you like to see mine?” Quentin says as his expression turned malevolent

“You seem a little too excited” Jinx comments to the women as her and Lola follow her to the garden mentally preparing herself for the lesson. “How long have you known my master” Jinx asks the women who seems to be fond of her master.

“About 20 years he recued me, quickly became close” she said almost as if she looking back in her mine. “Quenting had taught me much like he is teaching you, but today he asked me to teach you so i hope you pay attention” she said giving Jinx a stern look

As the desert dweller saw the oncoming water, he winced. The pain of belly flopping unintentionally was quite the validator that his actions were indeed a bad idea. Upon smacking into the surface it dawned upon Arshus that he didn’t know how to swim, he struggled for a bit but using his Intellect and Survival skills was able to reason the mechanics and propel himself to the surface and inefficiently tread water. Just barely keeping his head above the waves to see the figure whom tossed him with little effort.

Quentin watched as Arshus fought to keep his head above water, “perhaps i have miss judged your strength guess we will see” Quentin turns away from the atruggling man and walks over and kneels in the shade of a palm tree to meditate, Quentin had forgotten about the heat here on Rishii thinking perhaps is black commander robes was a bit to much

“Must be honored to have your old teacher ask you to go from student to teacher.” Jinx comments with a small chuckle. “You said he rescued you? What do you mean?” She asked with curiosity, her master seems to be a busy man when it comes to helping people become better.

Eliana looked almost sad recalling the memories “I was taken by pirates to be sold into slavery, i cryed for days, then one day i hear pirates scream in cry out in anguish, what i have come to know as a lightsaber its purple blade cut me free from my cage.” Her sadness seam to fade “ a much younger Quentin saved me, he brought me to this village constructed this house for me, he stayed not far from here on a beach waiting his masters return, but he always made time to come see me. It wasnt for years after that he started to teach me.” He eyes light up thinking about Quentin “ did he save you too? ” she asks Jinx

Treading water in a clearly inexperience manner. Arshus battled the waves and eventually made it to shore. Tired from his frantic and inexperienced paddling, he rolled onto his back, “I hate oceans” he wheezed exercising the evil liquid from his lungs. A short while later he got to his feet and looking like a sea creature wrapped in ocean flora he approached the archpriest. Disarmed and having had the fight drowned out of him he collapsed next to the other man, “I asked for that one huh?” he said.

Could have been far worst but no lesson is really learned in death, I brought you here to guide you to your power, there is greater sources then anger

Jinx face went emotionaless as she thought of the events that lead up to her meating her master. “I guess you could say that… ” Jinx pauses before continuing. “It was a little over a year ago when my mother died, I was upset and angry and When I screamed it was like this blast of emotion came out of me and when I looked up my father and our family friends who had gathered around us all dead and tuned to ash.” Jinx sighed. “I ran deep into the woods wanting to escape I found this old cave and lived there, I wasnt there long before he showed up. I was out gathering suplies, he showed up and convinced me to go with him and i’ve been training under him since. I’m not sure where I would be today had he not showed up that rainy day” Jinx finished as a single tear escaped her eye and she quickly and angerly reached up and wiped it away mad at herself for showing her emotions which she hated most, she prefered staying closed off and keeping her face blank.
